Can anyone help with this fly? Seen on 26 August this year near Apeldoorn, province of Gelderland, the Netherlands.

But maybe Mark should pop up. Tricholauxania praeusta then...but the wings are not that convincing.

Ruud is correct. Tricholauxania praeusta

But it is very easy to see how one would get to decipiens from a photo. as both have dark palpi. the fine spines on vein R2+3 never seem to be visible in a photo. The darkening of the tips of the wing and on the dm-cu crossvein should be clue this is a very variable from a subtle shade to intensely dark. The fore femur has the antero-ventral comb of spines (ctenidium) similar to Meiosimyza rorida. thought these are not visable in the photos above

Hahaha, yes, Mark, after sending in my first suggestion, I saw the darkening of the wing, so I began to hesitate.
