This female came to light at night. Is it possible to say something about genus and perhaps species?

Thanks for your help in advance

Stictochironomus

Fork in Cu is closer to wing base than R-M crossvein. That is unusual in Chironomini.

It could be S. pictulus based on the presence of faint wing spots in addition to the prominent spot over r-m. Confirmation requires examination of male genitalia.

In Scandinavia there is another species S. crassiforceps I do not know anything about.

I nominate this for the gallery as

Stictochironomus cf. pictulus (female)
