Hello.
Chrysotoxum festivum is the correct name? Date: 2.7.2013, Slovakia-Kosice, 200m a.s.l.

According to the key http://web.archiv...x_key.html, in C. festivum the yellow bands do not reach the abdominal margin, so the whole margin has to be black. Difficult to see here - the abdomen is a bit distorted, and the margin appears to be black and brown...

Thank you Sundew. Antenna looks like C. festivum. What do you think?

The blackish species with this kind of antenna are festivum, vernale, lineare, and elegans. From the picture in the key, I exclude C. lineare, but I do not dare to say more...
