Hello,

Could it be Xanthochlorus tenellus ?
In Switzerland there is only another species, X. ornatus, but that one should have a mostly dark mesotonum (according to Igor Grichanov) whereas the one of my fly is mostly yellow like the rest of its body.
What do you think ? Thank you for your help !

7/7/2013, Vevey, Switzerland, near a river in a humid wood.
Size: 3.9 mm (body)

Wunderbar, danke schön Stefan ! (My German is terrible but this at least I can say...)

So yes thank you very much for the confirmation and the detailed info about the genus in our country !
But I'm not sure how to interpret this notation, does it say for instance that you (Naglis) have collected 180 specimens of X. tenellus in 2010 in Ticino ?

Oh... as you can see I'm not familiar with this level of entomology so I sometimes ask silly questions... sorry and thank you for having answered it anyway !
