I presume - can anyone narrow down to genus or sp. ?

Yes, I think it is a solitary mining bee of the genus Andrena, and I think I can count 12 antennal segments, so it's a female - but that's as far as I can go :o! You could also try posting the image on the Bees, Wasps and Ants Recording Society's egroup:
