What size is it? Looks a bit like Triarthria to me but I'm not sure what you have in the US. We really need to build up a much bigger group of keen amateurs in the US to study tachinids and to develop the keys :)

Body length 6.6 mm.

We have Triarthria setipennis introduced and known from Massachusetts. The arista looks right for Triarthria. The key in Manual of Nearctic Diptera is too confusing for any degree of confidence. The last few couplets are at least arguably consistent with that species.
