This is the only picture taken. It was about 8mm long. Is it a hoverfly? - if pic not good enough I will try to find it again. Terrain was a field edge by a small deciduous wood.

I renamed file Hi.jpg its 176K and still does not upload will try again later

It was the size I got when downloading it, but somehow there was a high compression rate in the picture and it saved at over 400K on my computer. It may have to do with your image editor. I had to crop the picture, save it as png and then re-save it as jpg to get it accepted. First because of the size, second because the file signature and extension probably had is a discrepancy that only could be solved by opening it and saving it again in another format. If you run into the same issue again, try that solution for yourself.
The species, by the way, is
Xylota segnis of the Syrphidae.
