Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Green Syrphidae?

Hi Forum,

Photographed in Lower Austria, Austria, @ 15. July 2012.

Which one is it?

It should be obvious, i think - but i can't find it.

No Syrphid, it is Stratiomyidae - Odontomyia angulata (http://www.dipter...to_id=8199) :).

Odontomyia: quite well possible.
angulata: I am not quite sure whether they have it in Australia...

Well, I have no Stratiomyidae key, but from many pictures (e. g. http://intruiging...a-viridula) I learnt that Oplodonta viridula has dotted eyes, and also the colouration of the frons looks different.
