Hello,

I'd like to have your help with these flies mating in the air, today :

marthaadsl.free.fr/ATH/photos/ATH07-04-08-116.jpg
(Couchey (Burgundy, France) - 8 avril 2007 - 4.5 mm long)

I dare imagine that such big eyes occupating whole head with sphaeric shape should indicate family... but I can't find which one...
Some Pipunculidae ?

Thanks !

Top photo: probably Eudorylas sp.

I would agree with Paul that the top pair are Eudorylas but naming this genus to species nearly always requires examination of terminalia. pale ppl and dark legs suggest E. obscurus but that is very much a guess.
