Hello:
Could someone help me with the identification of this horse-fly?.
I think it is Pangonius, but not more.
It was found dead into my car in Pontevedra (NW Iberian Peninsula).
Thanks

Regards,
Luis Álvarez

Probably Pangonius variegatus, but I have not experiances with this genus...
If you send me the animal, I could try to confirm ID.

Hello Libor:
Today in the morning I have sent it to you. Only the horse-fly because I do not have any more.
I hope that it do not arrive very damaged.
Regards,
Luis

Hello Libor:
Thank you very much for your identification.
I found it in September, 2012 cleaning the car but probably it would go there more time. The locality was Cerdedo (Pontevedra) but I am not sure that was entering there, therefore is better to annotate only Pontevedra.

Luis
