Found in grass by small stream near Copenhagen yesterday
An cautious guess might be Syntormon ? (Walther Gritsch)

cinereus (Haliday, 1851), female. 2.5 mm long.

size seems to fit.
Acording to http://www.diptera.info/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=36976&pid=163745 is cinereus characterized amongst other by its thoracic bristles are reddish yellow.
Is it safe to skip the question mark?

Ole,
You can skip the question mark, this is definitely A. cinereus (female).
Check the key in Pollet (1996).
