Thread subject: Diptera.info :: late autumn Bibionid in Scotland

This was found among estuarine vegetation at Finlaystone Point, Renfrewshire, on October 10th 2012. Am I right in thinking this is a Bibionid? And if so, can it be taken to species (despite the rather grim pic?)

Bibio. Based on earlier comments here, European fall-flying Bibio with swollen hind tarsi (in males) should be clavipes or lepidus.
