This one seen in Central part of the Netherlands on 13 May in Fraxinus brushwood area. Please some help with ID

It is a Beris, but not the most common one, B. chalybata. Is the 3rd thickened? Then it is B.fuscipes. If not is, I think. B. strobli. If you put a knife on my throat I will decide for the last one. The best is to look at the specimen.

I think so! Interesting species. I wonder what Paul's opinion is, or Ben's, though I do not know how often he visits diptera.info.

I’d say male B. hauseri. Fuscipes should have yellow hairs on horax and much thicker antenna.
