Hello,

this is the third Empis sp. (or similar) that I found and I never been able to identicate it :)

@ Paul Beuk: this time I have the specimen ;) Do you want it?

Long about 3-4 mm.

It looks for me like Platypalpus (Hybotidae).

Mhhh .. we don't have the P. longicornis here, many of them in the checklist are unknown, no photo around the web, so it will be hard to find the right one.

Browsing some species I see the most similar are (for now) P. agilis and P. major.

I have the specimen btw, someone want to identificate it? :)
