Taken in the mountains of Madrid on August the 6th 2012. I thought it was going to be Musca autumnalis but checking the pictures it has clearly hairy eyes. Musca osiris? Musca vitripennis? One I don't know about? Help, please! Thanks!! ;)

There are many other pictures if something special needs to be seen :)

Thanks for your reply, tristram!! |t

But I thought Musca autumnalis don't have hairy-eyes :| Am I mistaken?? :( The one in the picture definitely has glabrous eyes.

This is a female Dasyphora pratorum/penicillata. If other small ad above the strong one, D. penicillata, otherwise D. pratorum.

WOW!! Thanks a lot, Stephane!! |t |t

I knew there was something wrong about this 'Musca' :o :o All of a sudden I see the light: too big, too compact, too shiny, thorax chaetotaxy... My first female Dasyphora, and I didn't guess in spite of seeing males last year nearly in the same spot :@ :@

You don't know but you have done my day ;) Back to my pictures to try to see that additional ad seta :)
