These flies are found on a boardwalk in a marsh in western Massachusetts, USA in late May.

It's Brachypalpus oarus.
They are not all the same specimen, because the last picture is a female, the other pictures show a male!

Thanks for the ID. Three specimens from two different years, same place and same time of year.
