Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Spotted wings, Culicidae

Hi,

Here is Culicidae i saw last weed end in woods. It looked quite big to me and i didn't know some Culicidae had spotted wings.
Can it be identify on those picture?

North France, about 10 mm or more.

Culiseta annulata. Common species, often hibernates in cellars, old minings, etc.

Thank you really much Libor. I guess the specie name has something to do wing the legs :)
