Syrphidae_Eristalis tenax (female) Linnaeus is the correct name? Region Malá Fatra Terchová about 500 m altitude. Thank you very much for your help. I made a photo of 23.10.2012.

I would say E. tenax (female). The double band of hairs on the eyes is diagnostic for the species + coloration of the front legs...
