This fly was found dead indoors (Spain: Catalonia: Girona: Beuda; UTM 31T DG7477, 395 m.), the 8th july 2007, and was identified with Palearctic genera key http://www.tachin.... These are the studied features:

HEAD:
Eye bare. Ocelli present. Height of gena: approx. 1/3 - 2/5 of eye height [vertical diameter of eye]

ANTENNA:
Pedicel light brown. Antenna longer than height of gena. . First flagellomere between 2.0 - max. 4.0 times length of pedicel, and with non-sharpened apex. Arista apparently bare; if pubescent, then hairs at most reaching length of basal diameter of arista, thickened on 2/5 of its length. Palpus light brown or partly yellow

THORAX:
Prosternum with a few setulae on lateral margin. Postpronotum with three setae arranged in a straight and one [usually small] positioned anterior to these. Three presutural achrostical setae. Three dorsocentral presutural setae. Three postsutural dorsocentral setae. Four postsutural dorsocentral setae. Three postsutural intra-alar setae. Three katespiernal setae. Scutellum mainly red or yellowish. Subapical scutellar setae visibly longer and stronger than apical setae. Apical scutellar setae crossed, horizontal or tilted upwards by at most 30°.

WING:
Wing membrane unpatterned: hyaline, whitish or slightly darkened. Tegula black or dark brown. R1 bare. Base of R4+5 with a few hairs and short setulae. Vein CuA1 bare. Bend of M at a right angle. M vein without a stub and prolongation. Section of M between R-M and DM-Cu visibly longer than section between DM-Cu and bend of M. Crossvein DM-Cu not exceptionally oblique. Cell r4+5 just closed at wing margin.

ABDOMEN:
Mid-dorsal depression of syntergite 1+2 reaching posterior margin of syntergite. Abdominal tergites 3 and 4 without median discal setae. Terguite 3 with 4 marginal setae and T2 with two (1 broken).
