Muscidae_Stomoxys calcitrans(female) is the correct name? Region Malá Fatra Terchová about 500 m altitude. Thank you very much for your help. I made a photo of 02.10.2012.

Not sure it is a female, the frons doesn't seem enough broad. ;)

In Malá Fatra it can be
Stomoxys calcitrans, H
aematobosca stimulans or
Haematobosca atripalpis (and/or
Haematobia irritans with palpi long almost as proboscis)
Yes, there isn't visible properly if the arista is with long hairs above and below or only above in the pictures.

Hana, I don't contest the ID which is 100 % correct, but the sex : I think it is a male ! ;)
