Hello!
I have searched a long time to find a
Calliphora other than
vicina here in Ostwestfalen/Germany. Now I'm pretty sure, that this male from a trunk yesterday is another species. Is it
C. vomitoria? Thanks in advance!

I'm not sure about this female on another tree trunk (sorry, no good pic):

Hello Juergen, this certainly looks like
vomitoria to me: unicolored blackish cheeks and reddish beard.

Hi J?rgen
Lovely pictures of
vomitoria! The female appears to have a pale basicosta, so I'd guess it was
vicina.

Also thanks for the confirmation! Then this is my first unambiguous
vomitoria :D. The female really looked more like the other
vicinas I took pictures of.
