Hello!
I photographed these 3 flies yesterday in Ostwestfalen/Germany (sunny, 12 ?C). I assume, they are Scatophagids but am not sure.
The first one was the smallest (only 10 mm or less) and sat at the wall of our house:
No 2 looks furry like
Scatophaga stercoraria and has dark antennae. but also was rather small (8-10 mm):
No 3 was about 12 mm and rested on bark:
P.S.: Many
Episyrphus balteatus,
Eristalis tenax and honey bees around here yesterday - and the first Red Admiral (Vanessa atalanta) :).
