Hello everybody!
I think I have understand how to post new messages to the forum.
What do you think about the diptera in the photo? According to me it is a Thereva.
The italian checklist signals for Sardinia only the Thereva bicinctella, what do you think about it?

It's a Thereva alright !
I'm not a real expert, but I would be surprised if there really occurs only 1 Thereva-species on Sardinia. I expect more (despite the list).
And identifying Thereva from pictures is a very hazardous job.
So, to me, Thereva spec., clearly not an ordinary species though
