Dates: Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Schenefeld near Hamburg, at a tree trunk near a small rivulet, 25 msm, Outsidefoto: kuv, 22 April 2012, about 17 o'clock. I think it looks similar to Eloeophila.maculata (found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Eloeophila.maculata.jpg). Is that ok? ID possible? Please help.
Best regards
Kuv

If you have the idea of a name (e. g. you thought of Eloeophila maculata), use the "forum search" to see if there are some earlier discussions of this subject. You would have come across this: http://www.dipter...pid=153438, which gives a lot of information. First, Limnophila schranki seems to be a good match, and second, the wiki picture you refer to does not show Eloeophila maculata but Limnophila cf. schranki as well. The supernumerary crossvein that characterizes Eloeophila is lacking :).
