pallidiventris group female; I have never met anyone capable of telling females apart, but perhaps you can enlighten me? ;)

I think it should be possible to separate females one day - but work is needed here.

Well, actually I think the males are not always as clearcut as the illustrations with the descriptions pretend them to be. Relative lengths of the surstyli show some variation and that gives me an eery feeling as I think I had the three species from a single locality on a single day, too... But as Mark stated above, 'work is needed here' and I need to check that.

Yep, I have the same experience Paul describes, which makes me wonder if we are really dealing with more species or just one species with considerable intraspecific variation.
