Very difficult to say from one photo (other than it is a tachinid fly) - especially just the lateral view - would be nice to also see a dorsal to check wing venation. But it looks a bit like a Bithia to me :) Do you have more photos?

Lovely fly - and good photos - but I am still puzzled. Bithia spreta would have hairs on the wing veins and your fly seems not to have them. So, I think I am going to say that it looks very interesting but we really needed the specimen to identify it :) Unless someone else can see anything that I have missed, of course :)

Yeah, Demoticus are quite grey-dusted ... I will have a look at a few of mine here :)

EDIT: Yes, that looks good to me - probably Demoticus plebejus then - nice find! :)
