Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Psychodidae Clytocerus ocellaris group?

Hello,

From photos of others I have found, this looks to me to be in this group which I understand is still in confusion.

It was on leaves of Lysichiton camtschatcensis at the edge of a roadside drain I have along the front of my garden near Lincoln UK, 19th April 2011.

Size was ~3mm, and I nearly sunk into the bog getting the photos!

Clytocerus, yes. Most likely the ocellaris group. There are two additional species in the UK, but both are rare.
