Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Cheilosia? -> Merodon sp.

Hello,
this ~7mm syrphidae is from last april from a coast land in south east Sicily. My guess would be a Cheilosia sp., but this is only a vague speculation. What is it?

No, this belongs in the Eristalinae, see the loop in R5.
