Hello!

A tiny (1.2 mm) fly from our house wall (northwest Germany). Scatella tenuicosta?

No possibility to measure it exactly, but it was really about half the size as the usual Drosophilas. I would say, it was also considerably smaller than the tiny Limnellia quadrata.

Looking at it again, it does appear to have only one pair of lateroclinate fronto-orbitals, which would suggest that it is actually a Scatophila - that would also explain the small size. 1.2 mm would be very small for a Scatella.
The thoracic pattern also suggests Scatophila, so I'm not really sure why I thought it might be tenuicosta - late nights and early mornings! :|

Interesting, that is a new genus for me. Thank you again!
