I caught this Limoniidae in a light trap in my garden (Turnhout, Belgium) on 03/09/2011
Is it possible to find the genus or species?

Interesting!

This is Symplecta (Trimicra) pilipes, the one and only cosmopolitan crane fly. I thought that this species has gone extinct from Finland (RE status in Penttinen et al 2010, Finnish Red List), until I saw one specimen collected from SW archipelago of Finland in July 2011 (also from light). Please see CCW (Catalogue of the Craneflies of the World) for other information. I do not know about the ecology or regional occupancy of this species in Central Europe.
