I am sure this has to be a melanistic form of something common, but I am utterly lost. Thanks to anybody that can help me to ID it!
Taken in the outskirts of Madrid on the 24th April 2011.

Looks a lot like the rare species
Meligramma cingulata? Do you have a frontal view (face) to fully exclude a dark M. auricollis? And/or any other angles?

Unfortunately, this is the only shot I have. It was awfully windy and it was a miracle to get this one reasonably in focus :@
But it is very interesting what you said about
Meliscaeva auricollis. There were a few specimens of
Meliscaeva auricollis exactly in the same spot. I think this solves the mystery ;)
Thanks so much for the millionth time, André!! :)

PD: The only thing that puzzles me is the hairy abdomen.
