Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sarcophagidae_ID? (Eurychaeta palpalis)

What kind of Sarcophagidae this flies. Slovak Republic, Malá Fatra-Terchová, approximately 700 m above sea level. Thank you very much for your help. Best regards! Fote date: 11.09.2011.

Not sure about Tachinidae - it has no median discal bristles and there are 3 faint vittae and an elongate R5 cell, which do suggest one of the less common Sarcophagidae ... so I would double-check that is hasn't got a subscutellum ;)

Strong parafacial setae plus yellow palpi suggest Eurychaeta sp. (Calliphoridae).
