This is probably a Sepsidae sp!? From midwest Sweden 2006-10-12. I think the size might have been something like 5-6 mm. One thing I noticed on this fly that I hadn't thought of before - the wing pattern isn't symmetrical, i.e. wing venation isn't the same on both wings.

All European Sepsis have same as at image two pair dc, Sepsis punctum - only one hind pair.

It is male, tergit III with lateral setas.
