Hello,
This is the first time I have seen these, and I had a another but a different colour a week later!
The first one, which is green, was on 21st June. The brown one was on 28th June, both inside! I have Doves nesting behind a satellite dish so I was wondering if they were from that nest but I also have Starlings in the roof space.

The green one.. could be a female?

They are
Ornithomya but from the pictures I cannot tell which one. The dove might indeed indicate
avicularia, asit will prefer somewhat bigger hosts in general as it is a larger species.

Thanks Paul, I found it depends on the number of bristles on the scutellum and I can't see on any of the photos how many there are for sure.

The wing venation indicates O. avicularia, indeed.
The green has nothing to do with sex but with blood !!
They turn green after sucking blood.
