I don't have a clue of species. But yes it is an Asilid and a cute one too :)

According to the wing venation, it's a genus of the subfamily Laphystiinae. Three genera are known from Spain: Glyphotriclis, Laphystia, and Psilocurus.
There are nice pictures of Glyphotriclis orantus on http://www.biodiv...69052.html and http://diptera.in...d_id=30295.
If you agree that there are white spots on the tergites, it should be this species. Nevertheless please write cf. Glyphotriclis orantus. Yours

This is G. ornatus without any doubts.
