UK, Suffolk, mixed vegetation on sandy soil. 8th July 2011. Size 5mm approx
My first
Actia I think. In the field, it had the arched appearance of
Siphona but without the long proboscis, the abdomen also showed black and white bands.
Hairs on the wing veins-- a few on R1 distally, hairs on R4+5 stopping at crossvein, cubital vein bare, anal vein disappears before wing margin.
So
Actia infantula?

Thanks for your comments, Chris. Photos stacked with Zerene (PMax option ), the full size look nice but still room for improvement - I still get ''ghosting'' with crossed legs, etc.
