Photographed 07.07.2011 outside my apartment, lots of these on flowers. Location is in northern Norway.

Wondering about how to separate Eristalis rupium and E. pseudorupium females...(E. picea could be possible too?). My litterature mentions hairs on abdomen, but not sure how to interpret this. Have photos of 5 different specimens (all females). Pattern and direction of hairs on abdomen seems to be the same on all of these, but can't decide which species it is (have not collected any, as I still would not be able to tell as long I don't know what to look for).

Hope someone here on the forum knows how to separete females of these species (rupium/pseudorupium and possible picea). Should not be any other possibilities, checked with key for genus Eristalis...
