I found this fly on 14 may 2011 in Belgium, De Panne, at the dunes. I keyed this put as Empis punctata. Is this correct?

Nope. I need to check which one it really is, though.

I stand corrected (by myself): it IS Empis punctata. The picture does not really show it, but the postpronotum (humerus) is yellowish orange after all and the pleura are also partly yellowish orange. So, my initial fear of a species of the semicinerea complex (which would have been very remarkable for De Panne BTW) has not come true.
