Hi,
This Syrphid was photographed in Austria, Tyrol, Niederthai (1.500 m) in last August. It looks like a Syrphus torvus, but the bands are very brownish. I thought of an Epistrophe, but that doesn't fit, too. So can the colours vary thus much?
