Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Sciomyzidae: very small Pherbellia (21.05.11) --> P. annulipes

Hello!

This fly from a flower pot in our garden (northwest Germany) measured only about 3 mm. I had similar ones already at the end of April in the forest, which I assumed to be Pherbellia annulipes. But this one was even smaller.

The small size and the wings with dark marks seems to speak for Pherbellia nana. I can't be sure.

Hmm, more probably P. annulipes, only croosveins seem darkened after all.
