Hi,

I had Helina evecta not long ago, this looks the same but the wings and cross veins are infuscated. Could it be anything else? 17th April, my garden near Lincoln UK.

One pic + crop.

Janet :)

Thanks Stephane, I checked H. annosa and it is listed here but the NBN Gateway doesn't have any records on the map although they have got a map for it. :D The records are often lacking all the same.

What is the main difference? Can H. evecta have such dark infuscation on the wing crossveins?

Well, H. evecta is known for having stronger infuscation than annosa on crossveins !
Other differences are in hairs under scutellum and av under hind femur.

I guess it's likely to be H. evecta then! Thanks for the info. :)
