I am a bit lost with this one (how unusual! :D ). Any help would be much appreciated. Even to know the family for sure, would make me very happy.

Taken in Daimiel town, C Spain on the 17th April 2011.

Should be family Sarcophagidae, though it is pretty weird (an awful lot of thoracic bristles are lacking !).

So change the title to Sarcophagidae help and wait for Liekele

In general thoracic bristles on Sarcophaga are often not so explicitly present. Pre- and postsutural acrostichal are often completely absent or weak (except the last pair).

However this female might be Sarcophaga (Bercaea) africa. At least the chaetotaxy and the stripes match with my female specimens. I would need a specimen to check for the genitalia.
