Thread subject: Diptera.info :: Tachinidae? Cylindromyia maybe? from Crete, Greece

This fly was found in Crete, Greece, on October 11th.
I think it was about 10-15mm long.

Hehe, attaching images sometimes takes some getting used to, ;)

Cylindromyia seems right to me. Maybe Theo or Chris can give an idea of the species. Conops, as suggested on your flickr site is definitely wrong.

I'd agree with Cylindromyia but I don't see enough to know which species this might be :)

It's a Cylindromyia.
The picture does not allow a positive ID (at least not by me).
The third antennal segment is rather long (for a Cylindromyia), which suggests C. intermedia.

Common species in the Mediterrean.
