This larva was found in moist soil near stream in Moscow. Resembles Odontomyia?

looks very much like Odontomyia and in fact I think it is O. ornata, but the photo's are out of focus to be sure. Looking at the development of the head capsule it appears a fully matured specimen. If the total length of the larva is about 30 mm or so then it must be O. ornata. Other species are appr. 15 mm. The larva of O. ornata also has sparce but long hairs on the abdomen.

No, this one is about 15 mm. I/ll look at it once more on Thursday. Maybe young ornata, it was collected on 2 May last year.B)

I have studied setae on head and it is the same as in Odontomyia ornata.
Many thanks, Atyulotus! B)
