Could this be Eumerus? It would be my first one - nice, if this hoverfly could be ID'd.
Switzerland, 430 msm, 15.04.2011, garden nearby and beck, stone wall with a lot of plants, sitting on ivy

Eumerus female, probably from the '
strigatus-group'.
