Good morning,

When I saw this fly, I thought it could be an Agromyzid, but the longer I look at it, the more I hesitate.
I found the animal sitting on decaying wood at the beginning of September near Heerlen, and the size was between 3 and 4 mm.

Very nice: Leucophenga maculata of the Drosophilidae. Very scarce in the Netherlands!

Thanks Paul,

That's a big surprise. Never thought of Drosophilidae. Now I realise that I should have, in regard of the red eyes and the fungi on decaying wood.
