Looks more like a Hydrophoria sp.

Joke, you are probably right! At first I thought it might be the male Hydrophoria linogrisea but the thorax is a different colour, I had the female. I have another fly though which might be Hydrophoria linogrisea! I'll post that one next, the site was very slow earlier.
