Not sure of order for these small insects! Photo is of a dead beetle, Meloe violaceus. What are the small insects on it? First impression when I saw these were Diptera. Maybe these belongs to family Ceratopogonidae? Palpomyia sp. from BugGuide.net looks similar in shape...

Photographed 01.07.2010 in Bodø, northern Norway.

Posted it here cause I'm not sure if it is Diptera :)

Ceratopogonidae. There is a small bunch of species attacking Meloidae.

Ok, then it is Ceratopogonidae :) Thanks for answering, don't think I've seen this before (first time I saw this species of beetle was in 2010).

The only parasites on live Meloidae that I know of are Atrichopogon (Meloehelea). In general Forcipomyiinae are parasites, usually on insects. Other subfamilies may be vertebrate parasites or insect predators but are not insect parasites.
