Hi,
Can anyone help me find out what we're seeing at the behind of this Chrysotoxum cautum?
The genitalia?
Not the best pic, but clearly there is something 'different'.

Yes, it looks like the genitalia of the male fly. Perhaps he just mated, or he was cleaning his private parts... not unusual among creatures ;)
