My contribution to an exhibition by our local Camera Club (at the Gallery attached to Clitheroe Museum) is a series of images of flies found in the surrounding park over the last two years. 250 different species are displayed in a narrow strip mounted at child height below the 'proper' pictures through the whole exhibition. The pictures are labelled with the name of the species where possible, otherwise genus or family. There is a simple quiz for young children.
The private view was last night, and the exhibition opens today and will continue into June, after which the Museum will keep the pictures for use in educational projects.
